On his way out of office, as is customary with all presidents, President Donald Trump granted a large number of pardons, including one to rapper Lil Wayne.
Facing a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison on a firearm possession charge, Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was granted a full pardon with some help from Jackson State head football coach Deion Sanders.
In a statement issued by the White House (seen below), ‘Coach Prime’ is credited with speaking on behalf of Lil Wayne.
