The Security Service Charitable Foundation is providing USO of South Texas with a donation of $5,000 to supply diapers and related hygiene products to military families. The USO’s diaper program ensures that military families have access to diapers, wipes, baby food, formula, baby shampoo, baby powder/oil, and lotion.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation is donating $2,500 to help Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) provide 125 local families with a week’s worth of pantry staples. Additionally, the donation is helping the organization purchase equipment for CHF’s San Antonio distribution center.
Children’s Hunger Fund provides nourishing food for hungry kids across America and around the world. They distribute Food Paks and other aid through local churches, providing hope to suffering children and families.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation is helping the American Heart Association (AHA) provide fresh food boxes to 50 families in need through a $5,000 donation. This comes at a critical time, when the COVID-19 pandemic has increased food insecurity and financial stress, two factors that directly affect heart health.
The healthy food boxes will be distributed across urban areas where it is difficult to buy affordable or fresh, good-quality food. Boxes will be filled with produce as well as non-perishables and pantry staples. To further promote heart health, the boxes will include healthy recipes and blood pressure prescription savings cards, as well as information on stress management, at-home physical activity, and blood pressure.

Donation to feed seniors and their pets
SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 26, 2021)
The Security Service Charitable Foundation is helping Meals on Wheels meet an increased demand during Covid-19 by donating $2,500 to provide meals for low-income seniors and their pets. This donation will provide meals for 300 seniors and food for 240 pets.
Each weekday, Meals on Wheels volunteers prepare and deliver meals to more than 3,400 neighbors. Their AniMeals program provides meals for those seniors’ pets, helping them to have healthy companions.
“For many of our neighbors, the meals we deliver are their sole source of nutrition,” said Casey Parker, community outreach coordinator for Meals on Wheels. “The Security Services Charitable Foundation donation is helping us greatly as so many people have an increased need for assistance amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.”
