4:00 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting one death and 27 new cases of COVID-19. The death was a man in his 30 s. An additional death was reported on Saturday, a man in his 70 s. This brings the total deaths in the county to 845. There are now 44,284 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 43,049 reportedly recovered.

TYLER, Texas The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has cleared the way for all 12 to 15-year-olds to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The benefits are less illness or no illness at all, Dr. Benjamin Constante, physician at Hospitality Health ER, said.
Dr. Constante has seen and treated many COVID-19 patients through his work at ER. He says the vaccine will help protect against the virus and prevent community spread.

4:40 p.m. - Nueces County reports one death and 51 new cases of COVID-19. The death was a man in his 60 s, bringing the death total in the county to 775. There are now 41,797 total COVID-19 cases in the county, with 39,919 recovered.
