JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The woman who went viral after coughing on a fellow customer at a Jacksonville Pier 1 has been booked into jail to begin serving her sentence of 30 days.
Debra Hunter was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault in June of 2020 after a victim recorded Hunter deliberately coughing on her after a squabble with employees inside the Town Center store.

Thankfully the victim could rest a little easier. the cougher & everyone in her household tested negative for coronavirus after the encounter.
Meanwhile, Debra Hunter could have just gone about her business. Now she ll have to suffer the consequences of her actions instead. Not only will she spend 30 days in jail, but the judge also sentenced her to 6 months probation, ordered her to pay a $500 fine, cover the costs of the cancer patient s coronavirus test and enroll in anger management classes.. which sounds like she needs.
