Authorities find woman dead in High Rock Lake

Authorities found a woman dead Wednesday in High Rock Lake, said Capt. Cory Mann with the Davidson County Sheriff s Office.
On Tuesday afternoon, someone called 911 alerting them that there was someone running toward the water at High Rock Lake. Authorities responded and began searching but weren t able to locate the person on Tuesday.
Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, another person called saying they thought they saw someone in the water.
The Davidson County Sheriff s Office, in addition to fire and EMS crews, responded to the lake off Wren Road and found the woman, who has yet to be identified.
