High Street man accused of punching nurse | News, Sports, Jobs

Matt Wagner WARREN – A High Street man has been ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation after he was accused of punching a Trumbull Regional Medical Center nurse in the face on Tuesday. Matthew J. Wagner, 23, of 320 High St. NE, was arraigned on two assault charges Tuesday before Warren Municipal Judge Terry Ivanchak, who ordered he have no contact with the nurse and be held without bond. This morning, Ivanchak granted a motion to have a psychological evaluation for the defendant. According to a police report, Wagner was at the hospita shortly after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday for a mental evaluation when he allegedly struck a 33-year-old female nurse. The nurse told a police officer the man started yelling at her and when she tried to calm him down, he tried to punch her in the face. The nurse said the punch grazed the top of her head near the eyebrows and she said she was not injured.

For Poland native Robert DeVito, that means a residency at the University of Virginia for plastic surgery. “My goal in my career is to be a safe and effective plastic surgeon who is a valuable resource to the health of my community,” he said. Residency matches take place in April of each year, and the students get to announce their match at graduation. “Each fourth-year college of medicine student creates their list of five top residency choices prior to graduation,” NEOMED marketing strategist Jared Slanina said. “The residency locations receive these lists, and make their selections accordingly. If a student is not placed into any of their five residency choices, staff members within the college of medicine work to find an alternative match that will fit their specialty that was not on their initial list.”

May 10, 2021 WARREN – Officers used a tourniquet to help a man with a gunshot wound to the leg after finding the man injured by gunfire in a vehicle on South Street, according to a police report. Willie J. Dawson, 33, Warren, was transported to Trumbull Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police were called just before 1 a.m. Saturday to the 200 block of Lane Avenue SW on the reports shots were fired. Detectives are investigating, the report states.
