Creenan: I m a sucker for a good train

Sometimes at night when I am just scrolling through my laptop before going to bed, I’ll hear the sounds of a diesel train running along the railway that heads on the north south line through Bad Axe. It’s something that really is not that impressive, just doing something tons of freight trains do every day, but there is just some childlike amusement rising up inside me when I hear the blazing horn go by.
After all, you are reading a column from someone whose favorite show when he was a toddler was Thomas the Tank Engine. Someone who would look out the window when driving to see when a train is coming by or down the tracks when the crossing guards come down on the road. Heck, the only set of Power Rangers I owned when I was younger was one where their giant robot was formed out of trains.
