The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced last week that indoor dining for restaurants can resume on Feb. 1 in a new order lasting for three weeks. Restaurants and bars will be allowed to reopen at 25% capacity with up to 100 people. Tables must be six feet apart with no more than six people per table. Outdoor tents with four sides are also permitted under these same rules.

According to the announcement, the Caseville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors came to the unanimous decision to cancel the winter festival due to current MDHHS guidelines that do not allow for many of the typical events. “It was a tough decision,” said Chamber Vice President Levi Zagorski. “We feel like it’s the best decision we could make, given the current information we have.”
