BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Sgt. Charles Warren with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is finally going home.
He was diagnosed with COVID-19 and went to the hospital back in December, where he spent more than 100 days on a ventilator.

BATON ROUGE - Nearly five months after the coronavirus placed him in intensive care, Deputy Charles Warren is finally going home.
Family members told WBRZ that Deputy Warren left the Baton Rouge Rehab Hospital late Wednesday morning. Though his hospital stay is over, he said he still has a long recovery ahead. I ll be doing some outpatient rehab and working on my lung capacity, Warren said after emerging from the hospital doors.
Warren was also moved to tears seeing his family and fellow law enforcement waiting for him.

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WVUE) - A high-ranking sheriff’s deputy in Tangipahoa Parish is headed home after a months-long fight for his life with COVID-19.
A spokesperson for the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office says Sgt. Charles Warren will finally head home after nearly 150 days in the hospital, during which time he was placed on a ventilator, coded several times, and endured a roller coaster of ups and downs.
