This development was part of the resolution of national summit on the integration of mini/modular refinery operations into the in-country oil refining programme of the oil and gas sector recently held in Abuja. The summit declared open by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, also was attended by the Hon. Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang among others.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed unwholesome foods and products worth N515.73 million in the North East.

The Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has vowed that the agency would not rest on its oars until Nigeria markets are rid of unwholesome food, falsified medicines, and dangerous cosmetics in order to safeguard the health of Nigerians.
She, however, commended the collaborative efforts of sister agencies like Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Department of State Services (DSS) amongst others towards the realization of NAFDAC’s mandate.
Prof Adeyeye made the assertion in Gombe, the Gombe State capital, at the North East Zonal destruction exercise of fake, counterfeit, substandard, expired, and unwholesome products by the Investigation and Enforcement (I&E) team of NAFDAC.
