The Election Commission of Pakistan has ordered re-polling in Sialkotâs NA-75 after the results of the February 19 by-elections were challenged by the members of the opposition.
The PML-N accused the PTI of attempting to rig the elections after some presiding members had gone missing during the vote count on the nights that votes were cast.
The officers came to the ECP February 20 morning with the results and claimed that they left early because the fog was too dense.

ISLAMABAD: The by-election results have been nullified and re-polling will take place in the entire constituency on March 18, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said Thursday in its order.
The PML-N had requested the election commission to hold polling again in the Daska constituency as the February 19 election was marred by controversies and clashes.
The ECP had withheld the results after 20 presiding officers in the constituency went missing for several hours and top officials of the district administration were unavailable to the commission to answer its queries.

ISLAMABAD: After Prime Minister Imran Khan showed his willingness to accept fresh elections in areas falling under 20 polling stations of the NA-75 Daska constituency, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) must now decide whether to order partial or complete re-polling for this National Assembly seat.
After the prime minister’s tweet stating that he would request the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate to ask for a re-poll in 20 polling stations the opposition has been crying hoarse that PTI nominee Ali Asjid Malhi is not averse to this eventuality. Following his post, a number of PTI leaders also endorsed the same idea.
