The Washington County Career Center honors its February Students of the Month, Curstin Giffin and Kane Clinton.
Curstin Giffin is a Belpre senior enrolled in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and she is the daughter of Dale and Beth Giffin of Belpre.
At the Career Center, Giffin is a member of the SkillsUSA youth organization as well as Interact Club and the National Technical Honor Society. In addition, she holds the office of class secretary. She has received awards for Principal’s List and is an Energy Bus Driver member for meeting all three criteria for 3.0 GPA or higher, 95% attendance or higher, and no office referrals.

Milwaukee County is facing a severe lifeguard shortage for summer 2021.
Milwaukee, like the rest of the country, has experienced declining numbers of lifeguards in recent years. In 2019, the county had 135 lifeguards, then 80 guards in 2020 and now, as of mid-April, there are just 52 guards ready for the 2021 season.

For some time now, Airbus has been hosting an event known as the Cargo Drone Challenge. One entry by Arthur Murcia, a designer from Sao Paulo, Brazil, shows the world a concept that goes beyond a simple rendering.
Most concepts receive no more than just a visual representation of what they could ultimately be, but whenever you look to present an idea to a group like Airbus, you better have more than just a picture. The A100 MND drone you see here is an example of a project worthy of handling your packages, and then so much more.

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) conducted a simulation of the emergency field hospital (EFH) operation to prepare the proper coordination and dynamics of the flow of operation between Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) and the EFH amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation in the country.

PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon led the simulation on Wednesday, April 28. Other expected attendees were Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, LCP Executive Director Dr. Vincent Balanag Jr., and Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Vice-Chairman Testing Czar Secretary Vince Dizon.
