Historical rape allegation against Cabinet minister.
On Friday, Prime Minister Scott Morrison received a letter detailing sexual assault allegations in relation to one of his own cabinet ministers.
The alleged rape took place in 1988, when the complainant was 16 years old.
The alleged victim reported the historical incident to the NSW Police Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad in February 2020. The investigation, named Strike Force Wyndarra, was suspended after the complainant took her own life in June 2020.

Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson says the women's 'March 4 Justice' rally is a great opportunity for the "voices of all women" to be heard.
“I think this is a very important opportunity for the voices of all women across Australia to be heard.”
“This is not just about 100,000 women. This is about some 13 million girls and women are all Australians and it is a very important opportunity on a multi-party basis to listen to the concerns- and whether our coalition MP’s are in the building or outside we will all be listening.”
Ms Henderson said it was a mischaracterisation to say the prime minister’s offer of a private meeting with organisers was about dealing with the issue “behind closed doors”.
“This is not an issue about being behind closed doors.
“This is an opportunity for the organisers to meet one on one with the prime minister of our country and I do believe they should change their position.”
