More Vaccine But No Mass Site in Yakima

More Vaccine But No Mass Site in Yakima More COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in Yakima County this week but still not enough to open a mass vaccination site at Yakima s State Fair Park. This week officials at the Yakima Health District say the county received 15,497 doses of vaccine, which includes 11,132 first doses and 4,365 second doses. Nathan Johnson, Local Emergency Response Coordinator says while that s a lot of doses it s not enough for a mass site because he says For mass vaccine site to be open we ll need 15,000 first dose vaccines. While we did get over 15,000 total, it was a combination of both first and second doses.
