Key donors of Gov. Andrew Cuomo have halted their support for the New York Democrat as he faces a probe into sexual harassment allegations, CNBC reported.
The financial backers are reportedly pausing and reevaluating their financial support for Cuomo because of the accusations, people involved in fundraising told CNBC Monday. Fearing the governor’s retribution, several of the donors chose to be anonymous.
“No one is giving to him now,” a finance executive told CNBC. “Everything is on hold.”
Lindsey Boylan, a former Cuomo staffer, accused the governor last week of kissing her without her consent and of creating a culture within his administration where bullying and sexual harassment is commonplace. Another former aide, Charlotte Bennett, accused Cuomo of sexual harassment on Saturday, The New York Times reported.

President Joe Biden endorsed the ongoing effort to unionize the workforce at an Amazon warehouse in Alabama, giving hope to labor leaders.
Biden tweeted his support for the effort on Sunday, nearly one month after the Bessemer, Alabama warehouse workers began voting in favor of or against unionizing. Biden said workers in Alabama, and nationwide, deserved the right to choose for themselves whether they wanted to join the union, but didn’t mention Amazon by name.
“We should encourage unions,” Biden said in a video message. “So let me be really clear: it’s not up to me to decide whether anyone should join a union. But let me be even more clear: it’s not up to an employer to decide that either.”

President Joe Biden will pursue free college tuition for students who attend historically black colleges, universities and community colleges as a form of slavery reparations.
President Joe Biden’s administration will move forward with policies beneficial to African-Americans as Congress considers creating a commission to study the merits of direct reparation payments, White House adviser Cedric Richmond told Axios in an interview. The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Feb. 17 regarding legislation that would create the commission.
“If you start talking about free college tuition to [historically black colleges and universities] and you start talking about free community college in Title I and all of those things, I think that you are well on your way,” Richmond said when asked about reparations, according to Axios.
‘Tailored to China’s Terms’: Fauci’s Deputy Had to Sign Beijing-Approved Confidentiality Form Before China Visit
Anthony Fauci’s deputy was required to sign a confidentiality agreement “tailored to China’s terms” before joining a World Health Organization team in China early last year to collect data about the novel coronavirus, according to an email obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
A WHO technical officer informed Dr. Cliff Lane, the Fauci deputy, would have to sign a confidentiality form and a disclosure of interest approved by Chinese authorities, according to a Feb. 15, 2020, email.
“The forms this time are tailored to China’s terms so we cannot use the ones from before,” Mansuk Daniel Han, a technical officer at WHO’s headquarters in Switzerland, wrote to Lane, who serves as deputy director for clinical research at the National Institutes for Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
