Replay Video UP NEXT Amid the fallout from President Trump’s second impeachment, President-elect Joe Biden remained focused on his priorities in a speech Thursday outlining his proposed $1.9 trillion package to tackle the coronavirus and address the economic havoc it has caused. Biden also repeated his plea for national unity, saying it’s “not some pie-in-the-sky dream. It’s a practical step to getting the things.
” The country can’t overcome its many challenges “as a separate and divided nation,” he said in closing. “The only way we can do it is to come together.”

President Trump was Impeached for Incitement of Insurrection seven days after the insurrectionist attack on the U.S. Capitol. Rep Liz Cheney led a record 10 Republican House members voting to Impeach.

CLEVELAND, Ohio The de facto 2nd President of the Confederacy, Donald J. Trump, became the 1st U.S. President in history Impeached twice. Seven days after insurgents attacked the U.S. Capitol, Trump was Impeached for “Incitement of Insurrection,” by the U.S. House of Representatives, 232-197.
A record 10 Republican House members, led by Rep Liz Cheney (R-Wy) voted to Impeach Trump, citing not only his inciting the insurrection, but also his responses both during and after the insurrection. They included Rep Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio, who said the following in a statement.
