Thursday, February 18, 2021 - 5:49 pm AKWESASNE The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 today (Feb. 18), making 18 total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. One community member has recovered however, one was hospitalized due to symptoms. There are 26 community members quarantining at home to prevent further spread. Through contact tracing, the majority of the 17 new cases reported this week are attributed to gatherings taking place with individuals outside of immediate household bubbles, the EOC said. The agency urges everyone to remain vigilant and avoid uncontrolled gatherings where there are no safety measures.
