Aligarh: The Kochi Biennale Foundation, one of the most significant Indian contemporary art foundations, which organizes Kochi Muziris Biennale and Students Biennale for the promotion of art practices of Institutions across South Asia, has selected students of Department of Fine Arts, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for its 4th edition of Students’ Biennale online exhibition. Three art works prepared by a group of students of MFA and BFA of Department of Fine Arts are installed at Moinuddin Ahmad Art Gallery of Aligarh Muslim University which is being exhibited online at Kochi Biennale Website.

HOUGHTON Dr. Milton L. Olsson, age 80, died Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Portage Health from complications resulting from catastrophic injuries he sustained in October. Milt was born in Anderson, Indiana, on September 21, 1940, and spent his early years in Rochester.
Milt met Trudy Kinzli, an immigrant at Wayne State University. She was the sunshine of this life for 62 years. Milt and Trudy Olsson were married in 1959.
Along his life path, Milt inspired thousands of people with his music, his teaching and his kind and understanding personality. Milt was an incredible musician, conductor and composer who played piano beautifully, had a wonderful voice, a fantastic sense of rhythm and an impressive talent for improvisation. Milt was not only a great performer; he was a great listener. People loved to be around Milt, and he loved to be around them.
A dais as big as earth, a canopy as wide as sky
The mantapa, in front of the same vedi, contains many pillars with numerous panels showing various themes from Indian epics, mythologies and even a few genre ones.

The Department of Fine Arts presents an artist talk with Portland-based artist Edie Overturf, supported by the Forst Endowed Visiting Artist Program.
Edie Overturf lives in Portland, Oregon, and teaches printmaking and drawing at Mount Hood Community College. Edie has a home studio and prints letterpress at Independent Publisher’s Resource Center. She is a member of Blackfish Gallery in the Pearl District of Portland, and her book work is represented by Passages Bookshop in Portland. Edie is a recipient of numerous awards and grants, including a Jerome Emerging Artist Fellowship, and two Minnesota State Arts Board grants. She has attended several residencies, including those at Kala Art Institute, InCahoots, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and an upcoming Professional Development residency at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking.
