Most mass vaccination sites in Windsor-Essex were fully booked into next week Tuesday morning following the expansion of COVID-19 jab eligibility to anyone age 12 and older over the long weekend.
Effective May 23, the local health unit and regions across Ontario opened up vaccine booking to those 12 and up regardless of where they live or if they have a medical condition that makes them more at risk of severe complications with a COVID-19 diagnosis.

Anyone age 12 and older with select medical conditions in Windsor-Essex can now receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
The local health unit expanded eligibility for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine Tuesday morning to allow those who are at least 12 years old at the time of their appointment to receive a jab if they have a health condition diabetes, cancer, and autoimmune disorders, among others that puts them at risk of more severe complications should they contract COVID-19.
