Card 53 said they are making every effort to do their part in bringing live entertainment back to Texas. “Due to the unpredictable nature of the show, we risk embarrassing our mothers, wives and places of employment all for the sake of providing a night of entertainment like no other in Texas.”

College National Finals Rodeo set for June 13-19 at Ford Wyoming Center By Greg Hirst on April 20, 2021 Rooster Yazzie at the 2019 College National Finals Rodeo (Dan Cepeda, Oil City) CASPER, Wyo After COVID prompted a hiatus in 2020, the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) is returning to Casper June 13 – 19 to the Ford Wyoming Center, which will operate at full capacity, Visit Casper announced in a release Tuesday. “Last year was tough for so many, including the rodeo community, and we were devastated to cancel CNFR,” said Roger Walters, Commissioner for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). “This year CNFR – and our student athletes, coaches, parents, fans and supporters – is returning and we cannot wait to see this event back in Casper.”  

College National Finals Rodeo Returns to Wyoming

CASPER While COVID-19 caused its cancellation in 2020, the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) is returning to Casper, Wyoming from June 13-19 and will be held at the Ford Wyoming Center. “Last year was tough for so many, including the rodeo community, and we were devastated to cancel CNFR,” said Roger Walters, Commissioner for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). “This year CNFR – and our student athletes, coaches, parents, fans and supporters – is returning and we cannot wait to see this event back in Casper.” Each year, CNFR welcomes 400 of the top collegiate rodeo athletes to compete in saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat tying. To qualify for CNFR, competitors must rank in the top three for their event, while the top two men’s and women’s teams from NIRA’s 11 regions also qualify.
