According to a government fact sheet about the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine, a federal program is now in place that is trying to expedite the distribution process and get more American’s vaccinated.
The fact sheet describes twenty-one “national pharmacy partners and networks of independent pharmacies representing over 40,000 pharmacy locations nationwide” that are taking part in the new distribution program.

Pharmacies could soon administer 100 MILLION doses of coronavirus vaccine per month under Biden s plan to ship the shots directly to drug stores
On February 11, the Biden administration will ship one million doses a week to U.S. pharmacies such as CVS Health. Walgreens Co and Walmart Inc
Doses are being sent to 6,500 pharmacies and, if successful, this will expand to 40,000 drug stores across the country
CVS has said it will be able to administer between 20 and 25 million doses per month and Walgreens has said it will be able to administer 10 to 13 million
Experts say that if all 40,000 locations receive enough supply, they will be able to vaccinate 3.3 million people per day or 100 million per month

Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy and result from collaboration with more than 100 private-sector, nonprofit, and government organizations and stakeholders to assess the response to COVID-19 and the nation s existing disaster preparedness infrastructure.
The recommendations include some temporary steps taken to address the COVID-19 pandemic, which have proven beneficial and should be made permanent going forward, the experts say.
