ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar will write letters to the speakers/presiding officers of the world parliaments to raise the issue of blasphemy in their parliaments for bringing an end to this practice as it was hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims on the pretext of freedom of expression.
Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar and former speaker and Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza met with National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser at the Parliament House Tuesday. Discussion between them focused on the rising trend of blasphemous remarks and desecration of religious sentiments of Muslims in the Western countries.

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry Tuesday strongly condemned the attitude of PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi towards the National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser during the session. “It was unfortunate that he had been the country’s prime minister, but had always adopted a hypocritical attitude and did not know how to address the speaker,” Fawad said talking to the media after the National Assembly session. Referring to the PML-N leaders, Fawad said, For them chairs have come down, they haven t gone up and they have not reached these positions in terms of mental qualities.
He said all the members should adopt a polite attitude in the Parliament.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi s threat to NA speaker disgraced the House, Sadaqat Abbasi said.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Sadaqat Abbasi has on Wednesday demanded Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to apologize to National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser.
Sadaqat Abbasi held a press conference along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill and said Shahid Khaqan’s act was immoral and undemocratic which has hurt PTI. The PML-N leader’s threat to NA speaker disgraced the House, he added.
