Vietnam reports one more COVID-19 death

Saturday, June 05, 2021, 10:21 GMT+7 A 63-year-old COVID-19 patient in northern Hai Duong Province died on Friday, marking Vietnam’s 51st coronavirus death and the 16th fatality in the latest wave. The man, recognized as patient No. 3,153, died of septic shock and pneumonia due to COVID-19 with complications arising out of spinal disorder, the Health Ministry said in an announcement on the same day. The patient had suffered from spinal disorder without treatment for more than ten years, as well as a fever that lasted two months before being hospitalized on April 28. He was tested and diagnosed with COVID-19 on May 7.  The man was treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for infection and pneumonia, but responded poorly to treatment.
