Hello, my name is Precious and I’m a beautiful 14-year-old short-haired cat. I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust in February as I was getting stressed sharing my home with a young child, so I will need a quiet home with adults or families with children aged 12 and over. I’ll need to be the only pet in the home and once I’ve settled in I’ll need access to the outdoors so that I can explore. I enjoy being made a fuss of when I’m in the right mood but I’ll let you know when I’ve had enough attention.
Hi, my name’s Razzy and I’m a handsome four-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a beautiful, big Staffy smile. I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust from our Trindledown Farm site in February. I’m an anxious boy who is nervous of new people but once I know you, I love a cuddle. I’m a big lad who hasn’t yet been taught to walk nicely on the lead so I’ll need a strong and patient owner who has had bull breeds before and is happy to continue my training. I’m looking for a home with adults or families with children aged 16 and over where I’ll need to be the only pet in the home. As I can be wary of strange people and dogs, I’ll need direct access to a secure, private garden. I’m fine being left for a couple of hours.
A NON-PROFIT charity is raffling off three exciting staycation holidays in a bid to raise essential funding for the animals they care for. The National Animal Welfare Trust, in The Street, Little Clacton, relies on donations from the public in order to be able to rehome abandoned dogs and cats. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, however, the number of animals volunteers have been able to help has diminished, as has the charity’s financial income. The organisation has hosted numerous online fundraising events and is now hosting a virtual staycation raffle giving supporters the chance to win a holiday in the UK.
