As the calendar turns to a new month, all eyes are on Valentine’s Day and finding the most romantic thing to do. If you and your significant other are movie fans, Netflix is offering a slew of new titles about falling in love to mark the occasion. Can you believe it’s almost been an entire month since 2021 began? It feels so…not different at all. Well, might as well wait a little more for some serious change to come around (except for the new administration).
One thing that is going through a bit of a change-up is Netflix this coming month. Several shows and movies, new and old, are making their way onto the streaming platform this February. Included among them is

Netflix has done a brilliant job bringing international TV to our screens. Now they’re bringing massive blockbusters from overseas too. This epic fantasy period piece from China looks amazing and we can’t wait to watch it. So what’s it about? “When a demonic serpent reawakens, the Yin-Yang Masters must solve a murder mystery and protect their realms from a dark conspiracy at the royal court.” Sounds likely a perfectly good time.

Netflix adds a couple dozen movies to the service this month, including the new Netflix film “Malcolm & Marie,” starring John David Washington and Zendaya.
That movie was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, “Malcolm & Marie” is a “bottle episode” of sorts, with the two leads mostly just hanging in a house together. The plot focuses on a couple talking about past relationships in their nice home. You can watch the trailer below.
Netflix also adds a few movies from the recent past, including “Shutter Island” and “War Dogs.” Seemingly more than a month late, the service brings ”National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” to its offerings on Feb. 1.

A Waterford woman says she was ‘shocked and surprised’ after winning $75,000 on a lottery scratch ticket.
“I didn’t realize I won at first, so I scanned the ticket using the OLG Lottery App. I was shocked and surprised,” Catherine Keene, 62, told Ontario lottery officials.

Her good fortune came on a National Lampoon Christmas Vacation ticket.
After the win, the married mother of two shared the news with friends and family.
“My children were very happy for me. There were tears of joy all around,” she said.
