Local execs appeal for more vaccine allocation to provinces, allow A4 vaccination

By JOVILAND RITA, GMA News Published July 12, 2021 10:14am The Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) on Monday appealed to the national government to allocate more COVID-19 vaccines to provinces and allow the inoculation of those under A4 category. Interviewed on ANC, ULAP president and Quirino Governor Dakila Cua pointed out that there is a policy issue on why the A4 vaccination has not started yet. “Ang pakiusap namin bigyan ng more allocation ‘yung provinces, number one. And number two, the NCR + 8 has been authorized to inoculate A4. Sa mga probinysa hindi pa po. Sana mapayagan,” he said. (Our number one request is to give more allocation to provinces. Mayor Emi supports unified vaccination card

Published July 9, 2021, 12:58 PM Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said Friday she supports calls for a unified vaccination card that will be used by Filipinos for domestic and international travel. In an interview over DZBB, Rubiano said Pasay City’s vaccination records are already being linked with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) for easier tracing and verification. “Sa ngayon po ay nagti-train na kami ng mga staff upang sa ganoon ay maisama na sa software system na dini-develop ng DICT ang ating vaccination records at sa ganoon ay magiging madali na rin ang pag-input sa database,” (We are already training our staff to incorporate our vaccination data into the software system being developed by the DICT for easier input at the database), Rubiano said.
