SRINAGAR: The Government on Thursday informed that291 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 144 from Jammu division and 147 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 119344. Also, 07 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 04 from Jammu division and 03 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 299 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 160 from Jammu Division and 139 from the Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 119344 positive cases, 3540 are Active Positive, 113944 have recovered and 1860 have died; 686 in Jammu division and 1174 in Kashmir division.

Jammu Tawi, Dec 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Administration on Thursday issued a list of holidays for the upcoming year 2021 in the Union Territory.
Holidays in two annexures including holidays to be observed across UT & Provincial holidays, local holidays and restricted holidays.
The note given below in the order, reads that all the Muslim holidays are subject to appearance of moon.
“The holidays listed in Annexure-“A” & ‘B” to this order shall be observed in the Government offices and educational institutions of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir during the calendar year-2021,” the government order issued by Additional Secretary to the Government, Rohit Sharma, under number 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020, dated 24-12-2020, reads.
