Synopsis
According to a notice, the recruitment rally for candidates of Nubra and Changthang will be held on June 5-6 at Mutup Stadium Partapur-Nyoma, followed by a rally for candidates of Leh and Buddhists from Doda at Ladakh Scouts Regiment Centre on June 9-10.

The Army s Ladakh Scout Regiment will hold a fortnight-long recruitment drive in the Union Territory of Ladakh next month, officials said on Tuesday.
The drive will be held at different venues in both Leh and Kargil districts from June 5 to 18, the officials said.

JAMMU, May 11: Jammu and Kashmir today recorded single-day highest 65 COVID casualties and 4352 fresh cases. As usual, Jammu region continued to account for maximum deaths in the Union Territory reporting 41 fatalities and 1708 positive cases.
Among 41 COVID fatalities, 14 were women while seven persons were aged between 30-45 years. Nearly 60 percent deaths were purely related to Coronavirus as the victims had no co-morbidities. The highest 28 casualties took place in Jammu district, six Udhampur, three each Samba and Kathua and one in Rajouri.

Three new oxygen plants to come up in Ladakh by May end
The oxygen plants would be dispatched by the supplier shortly and the plants will be commissioned by the end of May, 2021, Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Pawan Kotwal said.

LEH: Three new oxygen plants will be commissioned in the Union Territory of Ladakh by the end of May to meet the needs of coronavirus patients.
This was stated at a meeting chaired by Lt Governor R K Mathur here on Saturday to review the preparedness of the health department for COVID-19 handling with detailed discussions on infrastructure, procurement of essential equipment and medicines, an official spokesman said.
