Lubbock reports 15 new COVID-19 cases, six more recoveries

Lubbock on Tuesday confirmed 15 new COVID-19 cases, six more recoveries and another day without a new death linked to the coronavirus.
The total number of cases in Lubbock County is 48,765, with 83 active, 47,957 cases listed as recovered, and 725 total deaths linked to COVID-19, according to data provided by the city of Lubbock Health Department.
The city also reported Lubbock County had a 2.32 percent COVID-19 hospitalization percentage as of Monday.
The City of Lubbock Public Health Department conducted a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Tuesday at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, with 701 people receiving vaccinations. Those interested in getting a COVID-19 vaccine can register for the free vaccine online at https://ci.lubbock.tx.us/departments/civic-center/covid-19-vaccine-clinic. Wednesday evening, the City of Lubbock Health Department announced the availability of additional Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses. The doses, which are 500 first doses of two-dose Moderna vaccine, will be made available in two timeslots at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Exhibit Hall on Thursday, April 15 and Saturday, April 17.
Times the additional Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are being made available at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Exhibit Hall:
- Thursday, April 15 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, April 17 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
