Of the new cases, five were contact traced, while five were traced through expanded testing.
CHSO said the latest fatalities were both men, 85 and 75 years old, that added to the total of 94 fatalities in the city.
There are still 535 actives cases, and 4,265 recoveries out of the 4,894 confirmed cases, as of January 28.
CHSO Chief Dr. Rowena Galpo said they were standing by their report that there were only 18 cases on January 27 and swore by the integrity of their data on COVID-19 cases.
“We maintain that our data are accurate since these come from the ground and are subjected to validations. We have always maintained transparency in our reporting of cases as emphasized by our city mayor from the very start,” Galpo said.

BAGUIO CITY – The City Health Service Office has recorded three more deaths related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), 38 new cases, and 30 recoveries on Wednesday, Jan.13.
The city recorded 16 deaths in the past ten days this month, bringing the total number of deaths to 81 (1.89%) since March.
Of the new cases, 30 are contact traced, while11 of them are families from Bakakeng Central Barangay.
The three latest fatalities are all female, with ages 74,45, and 18.
The city has now 369 (8.62%) active cases and 3,828 (89%) recoveries from the total of 4,278 cases.
In the province of Benguet, 33 new cases have been recorded, nine of them from the town of Kapangan, eight from Bakun, five each from Mankayan and Itogon, three from La Trinidad, three from Tuba, and one death in a 66-year-old male from Itogon.

BAGUIO CITY – The City Health Service Office (CHSO) reported the 7
th death this month due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday as well as 19 new cases and 22 recoveries.
The CHSO said a 41-year-old female was admitted at the Baguio City General Hospital and Medical Center on Dec.30 but died on Jan.6.
At the start of the month, the city recorded a total of 72 deaths (1.79%); 304 active cases (7.56%), and 3,644 (90.65%) recoveries from the total confirmed cases of 4,020 since March, 2020.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the city is preparing for the new strain of the COVID-19 which is said to be a fast-spreading variant.

BAGUIO CITY – The Department of Health (DOH) Cordillera reported on Wednesday, December 30, the death of two newborn babies due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) – one in Baguio City and one in Apayao province.
A newborn female reportedly died on December 29 in Baguio City due to Meconium Aspiration Syndrome, Asphyxia, Mild confirmed on COVID-19.
The City Health Service Office (CHSO) in the city also recorded 20 new cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 272.
The city has also recorded 3,498 recoveries, and 63 deaths from the 3,833 confirmed cases, as of December 30.

BAGUIO CITY – Two more fatalities related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were posted on Tuesday, December 29, which brought this city’s death toll to 62, or 1.63 percent of confirmed cases.
The City Health Service Office (CHSO) also reported an increase of recoveries to 55 or 91.47 percent from the total of 3,487 recoveries, while 24 new cases added to the total of 263 active cases, or 6.90 percent of the total of 3,812 confirmed cases as of December 29.
CHSO said a 77-year-old female was admitted on November 18 at Pines City Doctor Hospital, and died on December 16, due to COVID-19 critical acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), hyperglycemic crisis with sec encephalopathy, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus.
