On May 1, Staind shared previously unreleased concert footage from their 2019 reunion show via a global livestream event.
The concert took place at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, in October 2019 and it marked the end of their five-year hiatus.
In a short interview that played leading up to the concert livestream, frontman Aaron Lewis addressed the reasons behind the break.
“It wasn’t time away from the band [that I needed],” Lewis said. “It was time away from the project and of the subject matter and of where the songs were coming from that was so necessary for me to be able to do it again. I just needed time.”

Connecticut to launch $150 million fund to help businesses
By Susan Haigh and Pat Eaton-Robb
The Associated Press
A new $150 million, multi-year initiative to invest in Connecticut businesses, with a major focus on fledgling small businesses located in communities hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, was unveiled on Thursday.
The Department of Economic and Community Development hopes the private sector will match that funding and co-invest in entrepreneurs, small businesses and start-ups, Commissioner David Lehman said.
“We think there’s a real opportunity to make this initiative even larger and have the state drive it, but with a significant amount of co-investment capital from corporations and philanthropists,” Lehman said.

Mashantucket Foxwoods Resort Casino announced Thursday it will begin “carefully” lifting most of its COVID-19 protocols while continuing to require that employees and patrons wear masks.
All of the casino’s slot machines will be turned on and ready for play, and capacity restrictions will gradually be lifted for table games, restaurants, theaters, events and retail shops. Regular deep cleaning of high-touch areas and social distancing in some situations will continue.
Gov. Ned Lamont has announced that the state’s remaining COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted May 19.
“The strategic rollback plan for our COVID-19 measures is highly calculated and thoughtfully timed to ensure we do this right and keep our resort safe,” Jason Guyot, Foxwoods’ president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “With the exception of face masks
