The traditional formal “Mayor Making” ceremony is on hold pending hopefully the removal of Covid restrictions towards the end of June.
Normally held at the Town Hall, once there is a green light to return to full use of the Town Hall, Councillors will then consider taking this forward.
Councillor Pat Taylor was elected to Stoodley Ward, Todmorden Town Council, in May 2019 since when she has been actively involved in representing resident’s interests through an active social media presence.
The Mayor said: “I was thrilled to be elected The Mayor of Todmorden and am extremely fortunate to be working with such a very skilled group of Town Councillors and Staff.

Welsh growers and garden retailers say they need a miracle, like that said to have been performed by the nation’s patron saint, if they are to weather the storm of a second springtime lockdown. First Minister Mark Drakeford is set to review current restrictions on Friday in Wales and even though coronavirus case rates are down and the figures associated with the roll-out of the vaccine across Wales are encouraging, many fear that things won’t change a great deal on Friday. The key dates of St David’s Day (March 1) and Mother’s Day (March 14) are just weeks away and Welsh members of the sector’s trade body, the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA), said ministers should fully recognise the unique nature of the industry’s supply chain and take the huge contribution to people’s health and wellbeing made by plants and gardening into consideration.

Garden centre bosses in Wales have been left frustrated by having to close in lockdown while centres in England can remain open.
Pugh s Garden Village in Cardiff said gardening helped people s mental and physical health, adding it had first class safety measures in place.
But the Welsh Government said the Covid-19 situation was very serious .
Garden centres were among the first businesses to be allowed to reopen last May as restrictions began to be eased following the first national lockdown in March.
They were allowed to reopen after this period ended, but First Minister Mark Drakeford announced Wales was going into an alert level four lockdown before Christmas.
