Brittany Nicole Clark was booked into the Escambia County Jail without bond Saturday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Clark was eastbound on Nine Mile Road west of Airway Drive, near the John. R. Johns Ballpark, when she ran off the roadway onto the south shoulder. She collided with the 42-year old male pedestrian and two bicycles that were on the shoulder of the road.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. Clark was not injured.

New eats offered for the campus and community
By Will Poladian, Staff Writer A new addition has been added to the St. Bonaventure University golf course. The new Fairway View Pavilion will be open to the Bonaventure community from April 15 to April 18 before officially opening to the public on Monday. The current New York State guidelines will be in place. There will be 75% capacity and attendees may be unmasked whilst seated. The Pavilion has been in the works for years, officially beginning construction in February 2020. “We began the planning of the Pavilion about three years ago when we decided to close and demolish the former Clubhouse Restaurant that was located where the Pavilion is now,” said Tom Missel, the chief communications officer at the university. “Restoring the Clubhouse Restaurant was just too cost prohibitive to make any sense.”

Zoos SA and Kimbolton say cheers to cheetah conservation

Monarto Safari Park and Langhorne Creek winery Kimbolton have joined forces to help save the Cheetah – a species that is in more than a spot of trouble.
For every bottle of Kimbolton’s Cabernet Sauvignon wine sold at its winery or online, Kimbolton will donate part of the proceeds to cheetah conservation work carried out at Monarto Safari Park.
“Wild cheetahs are in trouble,” says Peter Clark, Director of Monarto Safari Park. “They are now very vulnerable to extinction with an ever decreasing population of less than 7,000 mature individuals now believed to exist in Africa.
