Darren Young Talks Randy Orton Supporting Him After He Came Out: Randy Is A Cool Dude
NJPW Strong star Fred Rosser returned to
The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast where he opened up about how Randy Orton supported him after he came out. He told Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman about how supportive Orton was and still is of him as well as his goals in NJPW after revealing that AEW turned him down twice.
“Once I came out publicly to the world in 2013, I never said two words to a lot of the main guys, but once I came out, he was one of the guys that passed me in the hallway the day after I came out, and he gave me a hug,” Rosser revealed. “He said, ‘Hey man, if you have any issue, you let me know, and I’ll take care of anyone in the locker room.’ Him and CM Punk were top guys that said those exact words and Randy, from then on, was my heart.
Wrestling Inc.’s own Jesse Collings was on a recent episode of
The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast where he and Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman discussed NJPW’s expansion into North America. Collings gave his thoughts on the impact of the resignation of NJPW President Harold Meij.
“It definitely is going to have a big impact. There’s a lot of complicated aspects to the Meij hiring and his tenure there,” Collings noted. “I think if people are familiar with Jim Herd in WCW, historically, when people look back at that era, a lot of the criticism aimed at Jim Herd is, well, he didn’t come from wrestling. He came Pizza Hut or something.
On a recent episode of
The Wresting Inc. Daily podcast, WWE veteran Fred Rosser made his return and chatted with Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman about his involvement in Theality TV. Rosser discussed how he focuses more on quality over quantity in his career and how he is never afraid to be in front of the camera from his time in WWE, especially in
Total Divas where he revealed that he would always try to get on the show because you get paid for those appearances.
“I was with WWE from 2009 to 2017, nothing lasts forever,” Rosser stated. “Once I moved on, again, you got to grind it out. You got to hustle, and I was wrestling here, doing more quality over quantity. Again, in my head, no one knows I want to have that mystique of The Undertaker. You don’t see him as much, but when you do see him, it’s special, and that’s how I envisioned myself, focus on more quality over quantity.
