The workers restated that they would not negotiate the provisions of the constitution on financial autonomy for the two arms of government and demanded that the governors should immediately set in motion the process of establishing the fund allocation committees in all the states.

This was part of the resolutions of a meeting of JUSUN National Working Committee (NWC) held in Abuja after the conciliation meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, and other stakeholders. x A copy of the communique, which was signed by its Deputy President and General Secretary, Emmanuel Abioye and I.M.Adetola respectively, on Wednesday in Abuja. The NWC also resolved that besides beginning the deduction from May 2021 FAAC, the arrears must also be paid from October 2020 pay.

Advertisement The national working committee (NWC) of the union reached this decision on Wednesday, after a conciliation meeting with Chris Ngige, labour minister, and other stakeholders. The union also resolved that apart from beginning the deduction from the May 2021 FAAC revenue, the arrears must also be paid from October 2020. The union leadership agreed that the accountant-general of the federation should deduct from the federation account, the budgetary allocation submitted to him by the 36 state judiciaries in October 2020, and pay same directly to the National Judicial Council (NJC) from which the heads of courts of the states will be paid.
