The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has re-affirmed the authenticity of the Caretaker Committee led by Omolola Adeyinka as the approved executive to run the affairs of the Ogun State Council.
This was contained in a communiqué issued Saturday at the end of the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Asaba, Delta State.

The Enogie of Eyaen Community in Uhunmwode Council of Edo State, HRH Osazuwa Aiweirioghene Iduriase, has canvassed adequate training for persons recruited into vigilance groups in the country.
He stressed the need for state governments to conduct proper screenings to ascertain the mental state of individuals recruited as vigilantes to avoid engaging misfits in the groups. x
Iduriase gave the charge when an executive of the Edo State Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) visited him in his palace.
His words: “Well it is like everybody has to wake up because this time around we don’t sleep with our two eyes close. I believe that we need to support security agencies by giving them the necessary information on what is going on in our areas.

Speaking on Thursday at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondence Chapel, Abuja, where he was the guest speaker, Ortom warned that there may be a food crisis in the country.
“At least, 24 out of 36 States of Nigeria now have serious farmers and herdsmen crisis involving killings. Without ranching laws, herdsmen may soon be at every doorstep and that this will compromise farming and food security across the country.
