Noida: After RWAs chipped in to set up isolation wards during the second Covid-19 wave, they are now setting up vaccination camps in societies. In the past one month, the Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA), the common group for all AOAs in Noida, has organised 50 vaccination camps across several societies. NOFAA members said nearly 15,000 people have been inoculated at these camps that have been organised since May 27 in association with several private hospitals. “Highrise societies have very dense populations, and during the peak in April-May, fatalities due to Covid were very high. We realised that the only way out is to develop herd immunity as quickly as possible. That’s when we started organising camps in societies,” NOFAA secretary general Rajesh Sahay said.

NOIDA: Residents have complained of a 15% water tariff hike by the Noida Authority, saying that the quality and quantity of water has deteriorated over the past few years. Meanwhile, district Youth Congress workers took out a protest march from Sector 18 against fuel prices

NOIDA: The Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA) have written to the Noida Authority CEO demanding CCTV camera surveillance in sectors which do not have security boundary walls or have pockets which are isolated or ill-lit for safety and security of residents. Some of these sectors include sectors 50, 61, 7x, 137 etc.
“With regard to safety and security concerns in Noida, we have raised the concerns to Ritu Maheshwari CEO Noida Authority that several sectors which do not have security boundary walls, often face law and order related issues. Especially in pockets, which are isolated and are less lit. It becomes an easy target for chain and mobile snatchers and other anti-social activities. This has scaled more during the pandemic era. We have therefore requested from CEO Noida for CCTV camera surveillance in such sectors to ensure that such sectors are secured. We may identify such sectors by way of a priority list. This can be done in a phased manner,” said
