Will announce summer vacations in Punjab after exams: Murad Raas
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas on Friday has said that the summer vacations across the province will be announced within two weeks after completion of examinations.
Addressing a press conference, the minister said that the government knows about the problems which children are facing due to the scorching weather.
Punjab government is taking steps to benefit the teachers. Over 70,000 transfers were made last year. The online portal will eliminate the corrupt practices, he added.
Murad Raas told that leave applications and process regarding retirement of the teachers will also be applied online. An app is also being launched for the parents to have an idea of education standards in Pakistan, he told.

ISLAMABAD: Physical classes for matric and intermediate students resumed in Punjab and Islamabad today (Monday) under Covid-19 SOPs.
In-person classes for eighth, ninth and eleventh graders will resume from June 7.
Parents of matric and intermediate students have expressed concern over schools being opened at a time when summer vacations start under normal circumstances. They said children would suffer due to eight-hour long classes in the hot and humid weather.
“Opening schools amid the very hot weather is playing with the health of students,” the parents said, questioning the “wisdom” of opening educational institutes in the sweltering heat of June.
