Search warrant results in arrest of Mexico man

HANNIBAL — A Mexico, Mo. man has been arrested on a drug charge after a members of the Hannibal Special Response Team executed a search warrant Friday, July 16, in the 1800 block of Chestnut. The warrant was the result of the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad’s investigation into the distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine. During the course of the search, officers found a substantial amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Jordan M. Dorsey, 32, of Mexico, Mo., was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail. He was placed on a 24-hour hold for the felony charge of distribution of a controlled substance and a municipal warrant.

Hannibal man faces multiple charges after stabbing

HANNIBAL — A Hannibal man has been arrested in connection with a Sunday stabbing that reportedly injured a 31-year-old man. Officers were dispatched by NECOMM about 10:28 a.m. Sunday, July 18, to the 300 block of Grand Avenue, in response to a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with a 31-year-old man who reported he was stabbed at a residence in the 1500 block of Hill Street. The suspect had fled the area and was no longer present. The victim was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for his injuries. Officers located the suspect, James Ivey Jr., 40, of Hannibal, at a nearby residence. Ivey was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail on a 24-hour hold for unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, first-degree assault, second-degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence.

Hannibal man faces drug trafficking, weapons charges following foot pursuit

STAFF REPORT HANNIBAL — A Hannibal man faces felony charges for drug trafficking and weapons violations following a foot pursuit early Tuesday morning. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department contacted a male subject at about 12:28 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, in the 1900 block of Hope Street. Officers identified the man as Kalin M Anderson, 24, of Hannibal. Anderson had a city warrant for assault. When officers attempted to take him into custody, Anderson fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Anderson was apprehended. Officers recovered a bag Anderson dropped while fleeing. The bag contained a semiautomatic handgun, a large sum of cash and items officers believed to be fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine. Anderson was placed on a 24-hour hold and taken to Marion County Jail pending formal charges.
