Search warrant results in arrest of Mexico man

HANNIBAL — A Mexico, Mo. man has been arrested on a drug charge after a members of the Hannibal Special Response Team executed a search warrant Friday, July 16, in the 1800 block of Chestnut. The warrant was the result of the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad’s investigation into the distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine. During the course of the search, officers found a substantial amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Jordan M. Dorsey, 32, of Mexico, Mo., was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail. He was placed on a 24-hour hold for the felony charge of distribution of a controlled substance and a municipal warrant.

ACES serve two search warrants for methamphetamine

HANNIBAL — Officers assigned to the Hannibal Police Department’s Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad served two search warrants for drugs on Tuesday April 6. The search warrants were a result of two separate investigations into the sale of methamphetamine in the Hannibal community. The first search warrant was served in the 100 block of Chloe Place. Detectives found a substance believed to be methamphetamine and arrested Ronald C. Quinlin, 40, of Hannibal, for charges of distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful Use of drug paraphernalia. Quinlin was transported to the Marion County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. On Wednesday, a warrant was issued in the 10th Judicial Circuit of Marion County, charging Quinlin with distribution of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Two separate drug Investigations lead to distribution arrests

HANNIBAL — Officers assigned to the Hannibal Police Department’s Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad arrested Chivas Demarco Brown, 37, of Columbia, Mo., and Marcus L. McGruder, 44, of Hannibal, for distribution of narcotics from two separate investigations. Brown was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of heroin. Detectives stopped a vehicle on New London Gravel Road near Orchard Ave. and took Brown into custody on the previous charge. During their investigation at the scene, officers found a substantial amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Brown was placed in the Marion County Jail on a 24-hour hold and the cases were sent to the Ralls County Prosecutor and Marion County Prosecutor for review. A warrant was filed in Marion County Circuit Court charging Brown with distribution of a controlled substance, with bond set at $25,000 cash only. A warrant was also issued in Ralls County C
