The Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office has identified the pilot who crashed off the coast of Boynton Beach on Sunday night.
The body of 24-year old Abhishek Patter was found in the wreckage of the single engine Piper aircraft that went down in the Atlantic, about a mile east of the Boynton Inlet.
The plane had taken off from Palm Beach County Park Airport in Lantana on its way to the Merrit Island Airport.
The NTSB is now leading the investigation to determine what caused the crash.

Divers with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office have reportedly recovered the remains of the 24-year old pilot who plunged a single-engine Piper aircraft into the Atlantic, about a mile off the coast of the Boynton Beach Inlet Sunday night.
