Prices have gone through the roof and I would say probably almost double the price on a lot of things, warned Gressis, who also said in the video the crab legs that were around $120-a-case some three weeks ago are around $225-a-case.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Pork exports remain strong, despite the downturn in April.
The scenario is keeping live animal prices high in most of the regions monitored by CEPEA (Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics), as Brazilian meatpackers demanded new lots of pigs for slaughter.
The average price for pork stood at R$7.25 (US$1.37) per kilo in the SP-5 region (Bragança Paulista, Campinas, Piracicaba, São Paulo and Sorocaba) in April - 8.4% higher than in March.

Pic: Shutterstock Between March 31 and April 30, cotton prices in the Brazilian market rose by 7.5 per cent, closing at 5.1702 BRL/pound on April 30, the highest nominal level since March 8. Quotes surpassed 5 BRL per pound in late April, a level that was last observed in early March, according to the Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics (CEPEA).
The current prices offset the losses registered between the second fortnight of March and the first days of April, when lower demand pressed down quotes, influenced by the uncertainties caused by the new restrictive measures related to the covid-19 pandemic, the CEPEA said in its latest fortnightly report.
