AUCA President to leave Kyrgyzstan AKIPRESS.COM - AUCA President Andrew Kuchins has decided to return to the United States at the end of this academic year, to be able to spend time again with his familyand his wife’s families. The Board of Trustees of the University has asked Dr. Jonathan Becker, the Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bard College, and a member of the Board of Trustees of AUCA, to assume the title of President on an interim basis, and he has graciously agreed to do so, effective immediately. Dr. Becker has been on AUCA’s Board of Trustees for more than a decade, and served as interim President for most of the 2018-2019 academic year. Dr. Becker will in the coming days be arranging meetings with key constituencies within the University, including the Academic and Student Senates.
