STARK PARKS Stark County Park District has announced David Regula has joined the Board of Park Commissioners. Regula has been with Akron-Canton Airport since 2004, and serves as vice president of customer experience. A graduate of the University of Mount Union, he also maintains a broker’s license in real estate, a professional auctioneer’s license, and is the principal broker for Relocation 1 Realty. He has served on the Ohio Turnpike Commission as vice chairman, as a Bethlehem Township trustee, and serves on the Ohio Department of Transportation Transportation Advisory Council. Regula replaces Andrew Hayden, who served on the board from 2011 to 2020. At the board s Jan. 5 meeting, Denise Freeland was elected chairperson, and Bill Bryan was elected vice chairperson.

Beachwood’s food delivery program gets national attention: Press Run

The city of Beachwood has received national attention for its Beachwood Delivers program, which allows for free delivery of food from the city s restaurants to its residents. The idea was conceived by the city s community services director Karen Carmen.

National attention: The city of Beachwood has received national attention for its Beachwood Delivers service, in which six drivers are at work delivering to residents food orders of $25 or more. There is no delivery fee for the service (although tips are welcome), which is working in collaboration with 10 Beachwood restaurants.
