Lindsey Kouroyen and
Sarah Lake, education majors at Lasell University, were among the Peabody students recently honored for academic or athletic achievement at schools across the country.
Kouroyen was awarded professional badges from the Harvard Agile Teacher Lab for their success in using equitable academic discussions in virtual classrooms.
Kouroyen earned the Learn Equity Badge and the Share Equity Bad. Lake earned the Learn Equity Badge.

Participation in the program was part of an effort to provide Lasell Universty students who are studying education with the opportunity to continue practicum-style teaching practice via coached, simulated environments during the pandemic.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute names dean’s list
WORCESTER, Mass. The criteria for the Worcester Polytechnic Institute dean’s list differs from most other universities, as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

NAMED: Timothy Stollings of Prichard has been named to the deanâs list for the fall semester at the University of Findlay. To earn this achievement, students must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
MOVE: Sylvia Ridgeway recently announced she is moving ⦠not from her Huntington address but from her 16-year position as president of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in West Virginia, Huntington-Cabell Chapter, to a lesser role. The 81-year-old lifelong Huntington resident is a retired English teacher from Huntington High School. She is replaced by 56-year-old lifelong Huntington resident David Wells, a former student whose term expires November 2023.
Mesler named to President’s List at Muskingum University
NEW CONCORD, Ohio Riley Mesler of Salem has been named to the Fall 2020 President’s List at Muskingum University. To be named to the President’s List, students must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or above on a minimum load of 12 completed semester hours of A-F graded coursework.
Dissette, Smalley earn Dean’s List at Muskingum University
NEW CONCORD, Ohio Jolaina Dissette of Lisbon and Katlyn Smalley of East Rochester have been named to the Fall 2020 Dean’s List at Muskingum University. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must earn a term GPA of 3.60 or above on a minimum load of 12 completed semester hours of A-F graded coursework.
