The government has revised its testing and quarantine protocols for all incoming travelers in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has required passengers regardless of vaccination status to undergo quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in the country. These passengers must also get tested for coronavirus on the seventh day from arrival date.
The revised protocols were contained in the latest IATF Resolution No. 114, issued on May 6. The decision was announced by Presidential spokesman Harry Roque on state television Friday, May 7.

The National Survey on Mental Health and Well-being (NSMHW), which is scheduled from May to June 2021, will collect data from 3,480 households and 7,328 individuals in Ilocos Region, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, National Capital Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Davao Region.
It will be conducted by the University of the Philippines-Manila in cooperation with the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development.
In a statement on Thursday, May 6, PSA said the results of the national survey will be used to estimate the national and regional lifetime and 12-month prevalence of selected mental, neurological, and substance use of (MNS) disorders among Filipinos.

Preparations are underway for the giga vaccination hub at the Galeon in MOA Complex, Pasay City
SM, together with National University, and the local government of Pasay City have partnered for ‘Vacc to the Future’ program to build one of the biggest vaccination centers in the country which will accommodate around 2,000 individuals per day.
“We are very happy to partner with the Pasay local government unit for this project,” said SM Supermalls president Steven Tan. “With the vaccine center, this will greatly help in doubling efforts to hasten the vaccination of our community members, especially the medical frontliners, the elderly, and those who have co-morbidities.”
