TRANSCRIPT OF SEN. GRACE POE S OPENING STATEMENT
Today, we will tackle the franchise application of three telcos and 13 broadcast companies. The three telco franchises include Dito Telecommunity Corp. and Instant Data, which we initially heard last December, and Transpacific Broadband Group International. As for the 13 broadcast franchises, we have Blockbuster Broadcasting, Tagbilaran Broadcasting, City Government of Davao, University of the Philippines System, Rolin Broadcasting, Servotron Industries, Christian Music Power, Good News Sorsogon Foundation, Allied Broadcasting Center, Palawan Broadcasting Corp., St. Jude Thaddeus Institute of Technology, Baycomms Broadcasting Corp., and Highland Broadcasting Network.
There are a lot of franchises to be tackled today so that we can efficiently go through this hearing in the most reasonable time and finish our concerns today. I will begin first with the broadcast companies because I anticipate the senators will have more

Hyun Bin’s personal trainer Yoon Tae Sik revealed on Allure Korea that the actor went under extreme diet similar to an athlete’s eating habits. He ate chicken, sweet potatoes, and vegetables on a fixed basis and fixed time. He held back his desire to eat even when he “loves to eat.” Yoon shared, “If Hyun eats pizza, he eats moderately. I think his is quantity-controlled style.”

+ March 10, 2021 RENATO D. Tayag wants to be known as Katoks. Do you know that Katoks is the valedictorian of Pampanga High School, Class 1933? Tayag was born in Angeles City during a town fiesta (October 9, 1915). In 1939, he graduated from his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines. While at the State University, he was the editor of the Collegian and the Literary Apprentice (UP).
He fought in Bataan and became a prisoner of war in O Donell. He was one of the pioneer journalists to go to Red China in 1964. His passions included playing tennis, travelling and reading. He wrote a book in 1985 titled Recollections and Digressions. His masterpiece is Base Town, Asia . It is a reflection of the prevailing atmosphere in Angeles when the Americans controlled Clark. He erased the stigma that Macabebe soldiers were traitors. He listed well known Pampangueños and paid homage to them. I like to quote what Katoks said:

It has been a year since COVID altered life at CUNY, and life in general. Once we gathered in classrooms, hallways, and cafeterias. Now we gather largely on Zoom. Too many of us have lost loved ones and treasured colleagues or faced financial hardship and uncertainty, or both. More of us have had to change the ways we work, teach, learn, and spend time with families and friends.
To take stock of this year and what lies ahead, we invited Graduate Center students, faculty, and staff to share their experiences. A nursing Ph.D. student described how the 7 p.m. cheer made her feel. Our chief librarian helped kids find solace in cats. A student canceled her dissertation research trip and reconfigured her project.
