Burna Boy’s mother makes Billboard’s 2021 International Power Players list
Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, has been named as one of the 2021 International Power Players by Billboard.
Billboard’s International Power Players list recognises leaders in the music industry on a global level. Honourees are nominated by companies and peers in the business and then selected by the editors with primary responsibility outside the United States.
Honourees in the list include label executives, music publishers, independent entrepreneurs, artist managers and concert promoters.
Also known as Mama Burna, Billboard in the article published on Monday recognised Ogulu for her work “..amid the 2020 pandemic, when she co-executive-produced, released and promoted the Twice As Tall album..” for her Grammy award-winning son, Burna Boy.

Northern Nigeria’s premier university, Ahmadu Bello University, located in Zaria, Kaduna State, produced more members of the current set of Nigerian state governors than any other tertiary institution in the country, a PREMIUM TIMES review of official documents shows.
An extensive review of their official resumes also shows that half of the 36 state governors obtained their first degrees from three universities in the country while only two of the governors got theirs abroad.

Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, on Monday in Abuja inaugurated Governing Councils of five federal universities, urging them to respect federal character in the appointment of members of staff.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the universities include University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Port Harcourt, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko.
Their council chairmen are John Oyegun- University of Ibadan, Sen. Lanre Tejuoso-University of Lagos, Sen. Andrew Uchendu-University of Port Harcourt, Oscar Udoji-Obafemi Awolowo University and Dr Elias Courson-Maritime University.
