The Pallister government has hired a Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries district manager as provincial director of its COVID-19 immunization clinics.
Kurt Janzen, who joined the Crown corporation in 2005 and holds an MBA from the University of Fredericton, will serve in the role for approximately six to nine months, an internal MLL memo says.

The Jan. 20 memo says Janzen accepted the position last week and will return to Liquor & Lotteries once his term with the province is done.
The County of Essex has hired Mike Galloway as the new Chief Administrative Officer.
Galloway has served as CAO for the Town of Caledon in the Region of Peel, the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and locally with the Township of Pelee.
He has also been active in the broader public sector through his involvement as an instructor for the Diploma in Municipal Management Program through AMCTO, as a lecturer at Brock University and via his fifteen years of service on the Board of Directors for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.

Galloway holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Fredericton.
