Cultivating an abundance mindset over an scarcity mindset

Do you have a scarcity mindset or an abundance mindset? What about your company? Your community? There has been research published that indicates people may become either scarcity or abundance thinkers from an early age. It also shows that abundance thinkers do better in life in many ways. Your mindset drives the decisions you make and shapes everything about your life. This has been a topic of interest to me for a long time. I ve observed both kinds of thinkers throughout my career. And the subject really came home to me during a recent session with the Pensacola Bay Area Women s Council of Realtors. The event was Top Gun to recognize top producers. There was an incredible caliber of women at this event. I was lucky enough to sit with Amy Snook, 2021 president of the Women’s Council of Realtors Florida, and Charmaine Hickey, 2021 vice president of the Women’s Council of Realtors Florida.

Pensacola family celebrates life of mother killed in alleged DUI crash

Through their grief and mourning, the family of Cylea Lyrio, who was killed by a suspected drunken driver last weekend, is celebrating the life of the 62-year-old Brazilian immigrant who brought her family to Pensacola 21 years ago in search of a better life.   She worked hard every day. She never took a weekend off that I remember, said Frency Moore, the daughter of the late Lyrio and the wife of Pensacola City Councilman Jared Moore. My brother (Yuri Ramos) swam. We both went to Pensacola High. He was a swimmer and I played basketball and my parents, they very seldom ever came to our meets or games. Because they were constantly working, trying to fit the bill of the American dream.

Bicentennial Highlights History of Florida, Escambia County

6:48 A series of events and activities will take place over the next few months, as part of the 200th anniversary of Florida becoming a U.S. Territory and Escambia County becoming one of its two original counties. Organizers plan to use the occasion to share more details about this often-overlooked period in the area’s rich history. “Let’s put it this way, when I tell people that we’re going to celebrate our 200th anniversary, they look at me. They have no clue what I’m talking about,” said Dr. Judy Bense, chair of the Bicentennial Commission for Escambia County and the City of Pensacola.

Sunburn — The morning read of what s hot in Florida politics — 3 10 21

Sunburn — The morning read of what’s hot in Florida politics — 3.10.21 Good Wednesday morning: Donald Trump over Joe Biden by a couple of points on Election Day, and not much has changed in the four months since, according to new polling from Mason-Dixon. The pollster didn’t put the former President head-to-head with his successor, but it did find that Biden’s job approval rating is underwater, with 47% of voters approving and 49% disapproving. The balance is undecided. Floridians still prefer Donald Trump to Joe Biden, a new survey finds. Biden does hold a dominant plus-77 approval rating among Black voters and enjoys a plus-12 among Hispanic voters, but White voters are decidedly not fans, handing him a minus-21. Women and South Florida residents were also on his side, too, though men and voters from every other region are nonplussed.
